John established the group in 2005 following a 15-year career as an Investment Banker working for Barclays Wealth and HSBC Investment Bank in London, where he held senior management positions, responsible for the Middle East and specialising in the UK property sector.

Fluent in Arabic, a speaker of Spanish, Italian and French, he has lived and travelled extensively throughout the region and has built up a large network of institutional and private clients in the Middle East in his 30-year professional career.

A seasoned deal maker, John has completed numerous high profile deals in his career to date, including the sale and structuring of Riverlight, purchased by Berkeley Homes with a Gross Development Value of over £1 billion.

In addition to deal origination and capital raising, John takes overall responsibility for group strategy.

Following a career in Investment Banking with Barclays Wealth and HSBC Investment Bank in London, Michael helped to establish JR Capital, and shares responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Group.

Michael manages our property trading, investment and development activities including sourcing, acquiring, and managing transactions directly and alongside our various operating partners.

Michael has experience of investing across all major asset classes and has been involved in over £1bn of property transactions over the past 20 years. Recent highlights include the establishment of two closed ended funds invested in the UK multi-let warehousing, logistics & industrial sector totalling over £200m. Michael sits on the board and investment committee of all our asset holding companies.

Prior to joining JR Capital, Philip spent 15 years as a senior relationship manager with HSBC Investment Bank covering the Middle East market.

As well as running the day-to-day operations of the Group, he is responsible for all client relationships and specialises in helping families with the acquisition, sale, structuring and financing of their residential properties in the UK.

He has also overseen the establishment of our new regulated mortgage and debt platform, JR Private Finance, and heads up strategy and business development for both JR Private Finance and JR Property Management, our high-end residential property management business.

Philip has transacted over £950m of residential property over the past 20 years and secured over £1bn of debt for our private and institutional clients.

Henry joined the JR Capital Group in 2021 to establish JR Private Finance, bringing a wealth of experience in both the Middle East and the debt side of property financing. A fully qualified IFA and FCA regulated mortgage broker, Henry has mixed his career advising on debt, investment, protection with involvement in Islamic Finance transactions.

Throughout his career, Henry has worked at Merrill Lynch, Baigrie Davies, Stadden Forbes, the DDCAP Group and Tullett Prebon. He’s travelled extensively throughout the Middle East and has a good understanding of the needs and requirements of the clients.

Eliane spent 15 years working for the U.S Investment Bank Bear Stearns where she headed up the Equity Syndicate Desk of the Capital Markets Division. She was involved in allocating over US$100 billion of IPO’s and secondary offerings to Institutions in the U.K and Europe, including the IPOs of J.Crew and Avis Group.

Fluent in Italian and French, she has lived and worked extensively across Europe and the Middle East. Eliane runs the Property Management business which she has successfully grown to encompass over 400 units across the United Kingdom.

Michael is an Asset Manager working on our long income commercial property portfolio. Michael joined the team in 2021, bringing with him four years of experience in Commercial Property.

Most recently Michael worked at Cushman & Wakefield across their Global Occupier Services, National Leasing (Retail) and Development Consultancy teams.

Jamie grew up in the UK and Japan and completed his first degree at Christ Church College, Oxford, before undertaking a MSc. in Real Estate at the University of Reading.

Prior to joining JR Capital in 2024, he spent nearly 2 years as a leasing agent and analyst at Ingleby Trice, a boutique firm in the City. Jamie works across a variety of property classes and also asset manages one of our multi-let warehousing, logistics and industrial funds.

Alastair joined the team in 2021 and has a wide range of experience in managing both rental and vacant properties across London and the Home Counties.

Alastair, who has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Liverpool as well as Propertymark Level 3 Awards in Residential Letting and Property Management and in Residential Tenancy Deposit Protection and Management, runs the Property Management team with Eliane and Grace.

With over 10 years of experience in Residential Lettings and Property Management, we welcomed Grace to the team in March 2022. Grace previously worked for Barnard Marcus where she managed four branches across Central London.

She has a strong understanding of the London lettings market, as well as compliance and regulatory matters. Grace manages a portfolio of Prime Residential rental properties with a rent roll of in excess of £1.5m per year. Alongside her property management work, Grace also is responsible for the management and leadership of the team with Eliane and Alastair.

Since joining the team, she has continued to expand and consolidate her relationships with London’s leading Estate Agents to tailor and enhance the service we offer our clients.

Hannah grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and completed her education at the University of Stellenbosch. Prior to joining JR Capital Property Management, Hannah spent five years at Residential Land in London where she was Operations Manager in the Short-Lets Department, which consisted of 150 apartments.

Since joining the team, Hannah has taken responsibility for the management of a portfolio of high-end residential properties across Central London and the Home Counties, where she has built upon her extensive experience of dealing with international clients.

Katarina grew up in Sweden and moved to the US in her early teens to study at the New York Film Academy and University of California. In 2018, Katarina moved to London where she joined Residential Land and was responsible for the management of approx. 150 short-let properties in Central London.

Katarina joined JR Capital in 2023 and is responsible for the management of a portfolio of prime residential rental property. She has extensive experience of London’s prime lettings market and working with High-Net-Worth clients.

James grew up in London and studied History at Oxford Brookes. He previously worked in Val D’Isère and Tignes, in the French Alps. He began his property career at Marsh & Parsons in Fulham, where he spent over 3 years running property portfolios in Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Notting Hill & Belgravia

James joined JR Capital in 2024 and is now actively involved in managing a large and diverse portfolio of prime client properties across Prime Central London.

Oliver was born and grew up in the United Arab Emirates before moving to England, where he attended Bryanston School and went on to read Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

Prior to joining us in 2024, Oliver worked in student lettings alongside his university studies in Southampton.

Dominic has over 25 years of experience in IT consultancy and has supported JR Capital Group since 2008. His passion for technology began in the 80s, leading to IT assistance for London start-ups during the late 90s Dot-Com Boom.

In the early 2000s, he launched his own IT solutions business for small London firms and gained event management experience showcasing Intel’s processors through e-sports competitions. By the mid-2000s, he joined a consultancy specialising in IT services for small businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Dominic, a French Lycée alumnus, holds a BSc in Environmental Geography and has training in NLP and effective communication.

Scott has over 30 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant, and has worked with the three largest CA firms in the world: EY, PwC and Deloitte, specialising in corporate finance and recovery.

He also spent 17 years in the Middle East, mainly in Private Equity leadership roles, and has extensive experience in real estate. As well as being a CA, Scott is a Chartered Member of the CISI, holds the ICAEW’s Corporate Finance Qualification, and the Chartered Financial Modeler certification from the Institute of Financial Modelling.
