John established the Company following a 15 year career as an Investment Banker working for HSBC Investment Bank and Barclays Wealth in London where he held senior management positions responsible for marketing the Middle East and specialised in the UK property sector. Fluent in Arabic, a speaker of Spanish, Italian and French, he has lived and travelled extensively throughout the region and has built up a large network of high level institutional and private clients in the Middle East over the past 25 years. A seasoned deal maker John has completed numerous deals in his career to date, including the sale and structuring of Riverlight (www.riverlightlondon.com) purchased by Berkeley Homes with a current Gross Development Value (GDV) of over £1 billion. John heads up the team and takes overall responsibility for investment strategy.

Michael helped to establish the business following a career in Investment Banking with John at HSBC Investment Bank and Barclays in London. Michael shares responsibility for the day to day running of the business . With a strong focus towards property over the years Michael manages our property trading, development and investment business including sourcing, acquiring and managing deals directly and with joint venture partners. Deals managed and concluded in the last 24 months include the off market acquisition of The Leinster Inn Hotel in Bayswater, the acquisition of Westbourne House on Westbourne Grove which combined have a GDV of over £120 million, a large number of commercial investment properties across the UK and over 100 residential units in the London and the South East.

Philip joined the team from HSBC Private Bank where he spent 15 years as a Senior Relationship Manager covering the Middle East. Philip is responsible for Private Client and Banking Services, specialising in advising families on the structuring and management of their UK affairs and has been responsible for over £250 million worth of transactions in recent years. Recent significant transactions include the structuring and refinancing of a Central London £25 million residential loan portfolio in Regents Park, a EUR10 million financing package on the French Cote d’Azure and the US$7 million equity release of a contemporary art portfolio arranged through a New York financial institution.

Tom joined the business from Handelsbanken, a Swedish Bank with a strong presence in the UK, where he specialised in property finance and private banking for (U)HNWIs. Having completed an Honours Degree in Real Estate (with Development and Planning) at Oxford Brookes University, Tom is now focused on both the Property Investment and Private Client aspects of the business. Highlights in Tom’s career to date include the structuring and lending of £20 million debt to a historic Central London based family trust with over £150 million assets, a £15 million commercial property finance deal to a UK PLC, and a £15 million refinance to a private HWNI with an extensive London asset base. Tom also has a strong family history and background in property throughout Bristol and the South West and has been active on both long term investments and planning gain/value add transactions.

Caleb joined the business from Workman LLP, the largest independent commercial management company in the UK, where he specialised in the commercial management of numerous assets equating to c. 800,000 sq ft of offices, retail and leisure. During his time at Workman, Caleb worked on the due diligence of acquisitions and sales of multiple commercial assets as well as assisting on development strategies for managed schemes. Prior to this, Caleb interned at Brydell Partners, a boutique real estate investment company, where he worked in the investment and asset management team. Having completed a BA in Geography from the University of Leeds and a MSc in Real Estate, Caleb is now focused on our Investment and Asset Management aspects of the business.

Eliane spent 15 years working for the U.S Investment Bank Bear Stearns where she headed up the Equity Syndicate Desk of the Capital Markets Division. She was involved in allocating over US$100 billion of IPO’s and secondary offerings to Institutions in the U.K and Europe, including the IPO’s of J.Crew and Avis Group . Fluent in Italian, French and German she has lived and worked extensively across Europe and the Middle East. Eliane runs the Property Management business which she has successfully grown to encompass over 400 units across the United Kingdom and Germany.

Maria studied marketing at Loughborough University and prior to joining JR Capital in 2016 she spent 8 years working in project management and marketing for a number of well-known companies including GlaxoSmithKline.
Maria brings with her a wealth of marketing and business development experience together with an understanding of property investment and management from time spent working in residential estate agency during her career.
Maria works alongside Eliane in the residential property management team and has taken on responsibility for improving the existing management platform and the further expansion of the business, which currently consists of over 500 residential units in the UK and Germany. Maria also oversees all aspects of marketing within the JR Capital Group.

Nicole joined the team in 2018 and brings with her over four years’ of high end property management experience in Central London. Prior to joining the team, Nicole worked in the property management department of Countrywide, specialising in vacant property management.
Nicole also spent time managing a lettings team at Lauristons which serviced over 300 high end units in London. Nicole works alongside Maria in the delivery and day to day running of JR Capital’s Vacant Property Management and Letting Service for our high net worth international private clients.
